Set on the quietly elegant Monmouth Street in Covent Garden, The second London apothecary by Malin & Goetz was designed by Jonathan Tuckey to mirror the theatrical qualities of the surrounding neighbourhood. The large, boxy window edged in black sets up a diorama-like view into the store, which is illuminated by Vasiliki Malakasi's lighting designs. A velvet-lined entrance recreates the experience of entering a West End show while pale wood floors and birch plywood walls set up an arresting contrast, creating a zen environment within.
